Colorado Fun

Well I hope everyone has had a great holiday. We enjoyed some wonderful snow and cold mountain air in Colorado. Good food and fun with family completed the holiday week. Now we are back in warmer weather with a visit to Rick's mom. We were blessed with safe travel and no injuries skiing even though the picture might look like it! Ha Another week and then we head back to hot weather. The break has refreshed us and we are looking forward to getting back to work. We are thankful for all of God's blessings during this holiday season. Gail

Not Quite Cambodia

Holiday Greetings! We are enjoying some great snow and leisure time in the mountains. We love being here and doing nothing! Well, we do eat, ski and play games and of course lounge by the fire. A winter storm came through last night here in Southern Colorado and we are snug inside with a nice fire. This is something that will never happen in Cambodia. It is very difficult to try and explain what snow is and what it is like to the students. I hope these pictures might give them an idea. Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful season.

Youth Fellowship

The joy of being back is being with the youth. A progressive dinner had been planned for the holidays, so we hosted the main course portion of the evening. It was great to see new and old faces! Forrest and Tabitha Smith are working with the youth group and we are excited to see their enthusiasm.

State Champs

What an exciting night! We were at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, AR as we watched the Jessieville Lions High School team play for state champs. This was their first appearance in the finals and it was good to experience the win. The night brought back so many memories of games as we watched Greg play. We won't watch many more football games in the near future as we work in Cambodia, but the joy of working to achieve a goal is no different on either side of the world.

Reverse Culture Shock!

We have been back in the the states now and felt alittle reverse culture shock. As we wander through the stores and go to restuarants, we keep saying, "My this is expensive!" HA! Oh well! Both Rick and I have had our checkups and appear to be normal and healthy. Well, sometimes Rick questions my normality, but we are working on budgets and of course visting friends and family. Today we are heading to Searcy and North Little Rock where we will visit the Harding campus and then to Sylvan Hills to visit Carol and Wallace. Rick will give a short report on the work in Cambodia. We are anxious to share the experience and hopefully encourage many to come visit and teach in the English school or work on the boat.
